Centrum Air, the largest private airline in Uzbekistan, will receive three new Airbus A321neo narrowbody passenger jets in the fourth quarter of 2027. They will be leased from AerCap, with which the carrier has signed a leasing agreement. This marks the first transaction in Uzbekistan for the world’s leading lessor.

The deal was first announced in June of this year, when Abdulaziz Abdurakhmanov, the owner of the parent cargo airline My Freighter, confirmed that the ordered A321neos would be in the Long Range (LR) configuration.

“The addition of the A321neo aircraft to our fleet will strengthen our operational capabilities and support our expanding international network, including the upcoming launch of routes to Europe,” he said, commenting on the current deal with AerCap.

In November, Centrum Air announced plans to begin flights to Europe next spring, specifically to Frankfurt and Copenhagen from Tashkent.

The acquisition of the new Airbus A321neos is part of My Freighter’s strategy for rapid fleet expansion. Centrum Air currently operates 13 aircraft: five A320ceos, two A320neos, three A321neos, and three wide-body A330s. Seven of these, including all the A330s, were received this year. By the end of this year, the airline expects to receive one more A330-300 and one A321neo.

In 2027, Centrum Air also expects to receive five aircraft from the Airbus A320neo family, which will be leased from Avolon.
