Uzbekistan-based airlines Air Samarkand and FlyOne Asia have signed agreements with Joramco, the Jordan-based Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) provider. Under the terms of the deal, Joramco will perform heavy base maintenance for the carriers’ Airbus A320-family narrowbody aircraft at its facilities in Amman.

Currently, Air Samarkand’s fleet includes one Airbus A321, while FlyOne Asia operates one A320. Both carriers also utilize several A320 aircraft through wet-lease agreements with FlyOne Group airlines.

Joramco is a subsidiary of the Dubai-based Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) and is certified to perform extensive maintenance on various aircraft types, including heavy 12-year D-Checks.

According to Joramco’s website, the company also serves another private Uzbek carrier, Qanot Sharq, which operates a fleet of two A320ceo and three A321neo aircraft.
