Kyrgyzstan’s Asman Airlines unveiled livery for its future Airbus A321
Kyrgyz startup flag carrier aims to acquire two A321 jets
Asman Airlines, Kyrgyz startup flag carrier, aims to acquire two Airbus A321s “within a year” and has already designed a distinct paint scheme for them.
This new livery, a departure from the current turboprop fleet’s design, blends modern aesthetics with national symbolism. Its elements are meant to embody “the sky, forward momentum, and Kyrgyzstan’s connection to the world.”
The introduction of the A321s is a strategic move to launch long-haul international routes, including to Europe. A key step toward this goal is Kyrgyzstan’s necessary removal from the EU’s aviation safety blacklist.
Manasbek Samidinov, Chairman of the Board of Airports of Kyrgyzstan, emphasized the significance of this step: “We are reaching a qualitatively new level. The Airbus A321 represents range, comfort, and reliability, and the new livery is the face of Kyrgyzstan in international airports. We want Asman Airlines to be instantly recognizable in the sky.”
Currently, the airline operates three De Havilland Dash 8-400 turboprops on short domestic routes.
