Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Transport authorized local airlines to resume scheduled passenger services to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia from March 10. The flights are open to passengers of all nationalities. Previously, since the onset of the conflict in Iran, authorities had only permitted repatriation flights to evacuate Uzbek citizens.

Flag carrier Uzbekistan Airways and private airline Qanot Sharq started to sell tickets for Tashkent–Dubai flights from March 11. Another private carrier, Centrum Air, is also set to resume operations on this route from March 14.

In addition, Uzbekistan Airways resumed scheduled flights to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on March 10. Flights to nearby Medina are planned by FlyOne Asia and FlyKhiva. Authorities have mandated the Uzbekistan Airports holding company to verify that all passengers departing for Saudi Arabia hold return tickets. This measure ensures that all pilgrims performing Umrah leave the Kingdom before May 24, ahead of the Hajj 2026 season.

Tajikistan’s Somon Air has also announced the resumption of ticket sales to Dubai, with flights from Dushanbe currently scheduled for March 11, 13, and 15, 2026.

In contrast, in neighboring Kazakhstan, Air Astana and its subsidiary low-cost carrier FlyArystan have announced the cancellation of flights from Almaty and Aktau to Dubai until the end of March. Through March 10, Air Astana Group focused on evacuating passengers from its cancelled flights from UAE via Muscat International Airport in neighboring Oman.
