Kazakh LCC Vietjet Qazaqstan unveils first branded aircraft and uniforms
The Central Asian carrier embraces the Vietjet group’s signature style at Astana launch event
Vietjet Qazaqstan has presented its first branded aircraft, new uniforms, and upcoming services as part of its transformation from the regional Kazakh carrier Qazaq Air into a low-cost airline. The company is now part of the Vietnam-based VietJet Group.
During an event held on February 12 at Astana Airport, the company showcased one of its DHC Dash 8 Q-400 regional aircraft sporting the Vietjet Qazaqstan livery.
The airline also debuted its new uniforms, reflecting the vibrant, dynamic, and slightly “provocative” branding synonymous with the Vietjet Air group.
Besides, starting in the second quarter, passengers can access the SkyBoss premium tier, featuring comfortable front-row seating, onboard catering, airport lounge access, booking flexibility, and enhanced baggage options.
Vietjet Qazaqstan recently migrated to the same passenger service system as its parent company, a critical step in its business model shift.
While the airline previously focused on domestic Kazakh routes using turboprop aircraft, it will begin receiving Boeing 737MAX narrowbody jets later this year. This transition will allow the carrier to expand its international reach to neighboring countries.
“Aviation is a bridge between cities, countries, nations, and their cultures. As an airline, we are proud to serve this noble mission of connecting cultures,” noted Adilbek Umraliev, Chairman of the Board of Vietjet Qazaqstan, during the event.
