SCAT Airlines, Kazakhstan’s second-largest carrier, has reached an agreement for the repair of engine nacelles on its Boeing 757 fleet. The nose cowls of the aircraft’s RB211-535 engines will be repaired by Belfast-based Short Brothers, a Northern Ireland subsidiary of the Boeing Company.
According to Dmitry Denisov, Director of SCAT’s Engineering Service, the partnership with Short Brothers provides the airline with full access to OEM expertise and reliable repair solutions, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
Prvately-held, Shymkent based SCAT currently operates four Boeing 757-200s for charter flights under the airline’s dedicated tourist brand, Sunday Airlines.
