In January, the private Uzbek carrier Qanot Sharq announced the launch of an in-flight entertainment (IFE) system across its fleet. The airline selected the Everhub IFE wireless platform from Ireland’s Inflight Dublin, which enables the streaming of movies, music, and other entertainment content for travelers.

Qanot Sharq passengers can access the entertainment system on their own mobile devices via the onboard Wi-Fi network. As part of a five-year contract with the Uzbek carrier, Inflight Dublin will also serve as the primary content service provider (CSP).

“By partnering with Inflight Dublin — who offer the most reliable and innovative wireless IFE solution on the market, backed by over 40 years of CSP experience — we look forward to significantly expanding our in-flight service and passenger satisfaction levels,” said Moisey Pak, CEO of Qanot Sharq.

The airline plans to roll out the new IFE system across its entire fleet, which currently includes two Airbus A320ceo, three A321neo, and three A330-200 widebody airliners. This year, the carrier will continue taking deliveries of the A321neo XLR under a contract with American lessor Air Lease Corporation.
