France-based Groupe ADP will invest $150 million in the development of Tbilisi International Airport in Georgia. This investment is a key condition of the agreement signed on January 15 between its subsidiary, TAV Georgia, and the United Airports of Georgia (UAG) holding. The document extends TAV Georgia’s concession to manage the airport until the end of 2031.

Scheduled for the 2027–2031 period, the $150 million investment aims to double the airport’s annual capacity from 5 million to 10 million passengers. To achieve this, ground infrastructure will be expanded and modernized. The number of aircraft parking stands on the apron will increase from 58 to 65. Additionally, the terminal’s area will grow by approximately 50%, allowing for more check-in counters and baggage carousels, as well as expanded passport control zones, retail areas, and parking facilities.

Furthermore, the airport will receive an additional $25 million as an upfront fee.

Tbilisi Airport’s passenger traffic exceeded pre-pandemic levels in 2023, reaching 3.69 million people, and climbed to 4.75 million a year later. According to Georgian Civil Aviation Agency, the airport served 4.98 million passengers in the first 11 months of 2025, representing a 13% increase over the previous year.
