🇺🇿 In 2025, Uzbekistan Airways, the flag carrier of Uzbekistan, launched or resumed scheduled passenger flights on a total of nine routes from three cities across the country, the carrier told CentralAsia+ Aero.

Six of these destinations were in Uzbekistan’s core market – Russia.

Flights to Madrid were launched from airline’s base in Tashkent Airport (IATA code: TAS). The airline operated weekly seasonal flights to the Spanish capital since April 7, as part of its summer schedule.

A direct flight connecting the capitals of Uzbekistan and Pakistan (Islamabad) was inaugurated on June 14, with a weekly frequency.

In the fall, Uzbekistan Airways resumed flights from Tashkent to the Russian cities of Tyumen (on September 27, on weekly basis) and Krasnodar (on October 26, three times a week).

Andijan Airport (AZN), which reopened after a two-year renovation, saw the airline launching its scheduled passenger flights to Novosibirsk, Russia, on a weekly basis, starting October 26, and to Istanbul, Turkey, twice a week, starting October 27.

Furthermore, flights to Russia’s largest cities were resumed from the Fergana Valley airport: Moscow (Vnukovo), on October 28, with a four-weekly frequency, and St. Petersburg (twice-weekly, starting October 27).

The only route restored from Namangan (NMA) was to Krasnodar (twice-weekly, starting October 28).
